Fascinating. I’m something of a disease junkie! I love to read about it. Perhaps a different career path would have been good. In any case, given MAHA, perhaps we’re headed back to mercury treatments and bloodletting. We’re well on our way re: vaccines. I agree with you though. Some people hang on remarkably long despite wretched health. We can stab all the voodoo dolls we want but it’s probably not going to hasten his demise.
Thank you for this history lesson, it was oddly fascinating (esp the poor sewage at the WH). And a good reality dose for anyone looking for a “natural” conclusion to the current regime. I hope everyone reads to the last paragraph, as *it is key.*
Plus ça change... depressing to see that nothing really has changed and that 1) we don't really know how healthy our president is 2) even if we knew, nothing would be done about it. Biden turns out to be an amazing exception, except people finally objected to him being reelected, and nothing could be done (or would be done) about him continuing to hold the presidency.
Thanks. Yes, some interesting stuff on Nixon's drinking during his final months. Kissinger was running things a lot of the time.

I did not know that about Nixon.
Martha, if you’re referring to his alcoholism, I didn’t know that, either.
I am. It makes sense I suppose
I think you’re right about that.

I enjoyed this article so much, Gerard. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you
There was a recent film on Netflix (I think) about Garfield that was very interesting to me.
Very well written!
Thank you

Yeah, Biden was the exception. I didn't think about that.
